Beirut make me happy, their entire catalogue so far is one of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon but it’s been missing some fresh tracks for a while, so when I recently got my ear-mitts on a small handful of tracks they had supposedly been demoing live over the last few months, that made me happy,  and that makes double happy.

This is one of those tracks and it does a good job of summarising their sound, which reminds me of walking down cobbled boulevards in eastern Europe on a sunny day, not that I’ve ever done that.
