WHERE: Brighton, UK

WHY:

British Sea Power’s guitar blasts are inescapable. When they thrust their way into the opening few seconds of ‘Who’s In Control’, they scream British summertime dizziness, and as the vocals lean more and more towards Kings of Leon, this really does appear to be their most anthemic track for quite some years. It’s anxious, frenetic and joyous, bewildering, bold and lairy, with a chorus that shouts at you with anger and accuracy, like a pissed-up soldier excitably fighting with a melody on Brighton Beach. It’s fun, but fucking dirty.

Nice. A bit reminiscent of Bob Mould/Sugar…

Can I agree to that? Maybe I can.
