Chan Marshall’s voice lifts this tune out of  standard indie fare to  create an absolutely phenomenal song; the riff is  addictive, the drums  are banging, but really it’s the vocals that go  from smokey to soaring  and straight back again that put this track on  single repeat more often  that not.
