WHY:
I owe Joni a lot. I had a greater love and understanding of Jazz after listening to ‘Hejira’ which I would highly recommend. I also love the heartfelt folk music of her early career too. This song features on her 11th studio album ‘Wild Things Run Fast’, an album which saw a departure from her jazz sound for a more rhythmic, pop sound for which she has cited the influence of The Police and Talking Heads. Big and still ever so relevant.
