I had to include a timeless track in my playlist. This is probably one of the first songs I ever heard. The sentiment, the melody and the delivery are all utterly sublime. Not a particularly unique choice in that regard, just I feel Its practically flawless. Comparing it to Rocky films, trying to better it would be almost like when Rocky faces Ivan Drago in Rocky 4. Nearly impossible to beat.
A mixture of Northern Soul, Motown and contemporary indie, Various Cruelties are poised to be one of 2012′s biggest acts having already supported The Vaccines, played on Jools Holland and picking up support from Huw Stevens, Steve Lamacq, Zane Lowe and Rob Da Bank. They’re releasing their debut album in March of next year.
