WHY:

The Art of Noise have long been an influence on us, initially for their music, but more recently also for their high art concepts, and penchant for mask wearing and anonymity in their early years. They launched with no one knowing who they were, and had press shots depicting inanimate objects, probably some kind of manifesto of how they were going to operate and present themselves. Very inspiring.

Moments in Love is a most enduring track, and justifiably so, it’s a great piece of music. It made extensive use of the Fairlight sampler, which was the first sampler ever made, and we love its sound. We really love the video as well, which we hadn’t seen until recently. Figure skaters, turtles on ice, a lost school boy, and a masked ball. Genius. Musicians courting high concepts, art and electronics have our love. The Art of Noise bring it all together.
