WHY: Hailing from from Iowa, Whitmore sounds like an aging Mississippi blues singer, looks like a punk rocker and writes like an activist. “Mutiny” is the opener off of his latest, Animals In The Dark, and marches you into the rest of the album with a military drum beat and a protest like call to action.
